“Full coverage” is one of the most common phrases I hear…
but here’s the truth:
It’s not actually a type of insurance policy.
Instead, it’s a general term people use to describe a combination of coverages, which may include:
• Liability Coverage (required by the state)
• Collision Coverage (damage to your vehicle from an accident)
• Comprehensive Coverage (theft, weather, falling objects, etc.)
What many people don’t realize is that what feels like “full coverage” can still leave important gaps.
For example:
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist coverage — one of the most important protections in Florida — is often not included unless you specifically select it.
There’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all “full coverage” policy.
The right protection is based on your specific situation, your assets, and what you want to protect. e first $2,500 and your insurance would cover the remaining amount (subject to your policy terms).
If you’re not sure what your current policy actually includes, it may be worth a quick review.
I’m always happy to walk through this with you and make sure everything is aligned with what matters most to you.
